Lady Bulldogs And Lady Pirates Split MS Games

Basketball HoopsThe 7th grade BMS girls’ team fell to Greensburg last night by the score 36-26.

The game was much closer than the final score would indicate. The Lady Dogs were leading by 3 midway through the 4th quarter, but just couldn’t hang on in the very physical closing minutes of the game. Greensburg went 14 for 17 from the free throw line in the 4th quarter to secure the win.

For the Bulldogs, Liz Heidlage was the top scorer with 8 points. Abby Westerfeld and Carlie Werner both had 6 points. Ellie Cassidy
and Macy Prickel had 4 and 2 points respectively.

The loss drops the team’s record to 6-4 on the season. The team hopes to get back to their winning ways next week in two home games.

The BMS 8th grade girls’ basketball team defeated Greensburg by a score of 25 to 15.
Ellie Waechter led all scorers with 10 points. Hattie Westerfeld added 6 points, Kendall Dickman 3 points, and Kelsey Shupe, Stephanie Nobbe, and Tori Kurtz each had 2 points.
Nobbe played well on both ends of the floor giving the Bulldogs her best all around game of the season. Waechter pulled down 7 rebounds and handled the ball well.
