Hillenbrand, Inc. has announced the retirement of Douglas Wilson, Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, effective June 30. Diane Bohman, Hillenbrand’s Senior Vice President of Integration, will succeed Wilson upon his retirement.

Wilson joined the Hillenbrand executive team in 2008 after serving in senior executive roles at Boston Scientific, Guidant, and Eli Lilly and Company. He came to Hillenbrand to help the company become a successful publicly traded company, to assist with the transformation of Hillenbrand to a global diversified industrial company, and to facilitate a smooth CEO transition upon the retirement of Ken Camp and naming of Joe Raver to the position in 2013.

“Having accomplished these goals, and having had an exceptional career before coming to Hillenbrand, Doug is ready for new challenges,” commented Raver. “I know he will use his creativity and leadership talents to serve in other ways. Doug is engaged in a wide range of endeavors, including not-for-profits, industry, and family.”

When Bohman assumes the role of Chief Administrative Officer in June, she will lead the Legal, Human Resources, Enterprise Information Systems, and Public Policy and Engagement functions for Hillenbrand.

“In naming Diane Bohman to succeed Doug Wilson, I am pleased to be able to recognize and reward the outstanding results Diane has produced for our company. In her current role, she has worked tirelessly on a global basis to lead the complex integration of our recent acquisitions into the Hillenbrand enterprise. During the past 18 months, Diane has gained valuable industrial experience by working closely with our Coperion team in Germany,” said Raver. Coperion is the international market and technology leader in compounding systems, feeding technology, bulk materials handling systems, and services.

Before joining the Batesville executive team, Bohman worked for seven years at Hill-Rom Company, holding a broad array of positions in the finance organization. She began her career in the business assurance practice of Coopers & Lybrand, LLP.
