Cops Searching For Man Who Cashed $15K In Bad Checks

Authorities are seeking help identifying a man they say cashed fraudulent checks totaling over $15,000 at five branches of a locally based bank last month.

Indiana State Police are releasing surveillance photos this evening of a white, middle aged man, who they believe cashed the checks at five Friendship State Bank locations in Ripley, Dearborn and Ohio County.

Police are looking for help from the community in identifying the man. Tips can be anonymously left by calling the ISP Versailles Post at (812) 689-5000.
