The Metamora Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting their annual firemen’s festival at Gateway Park (across US 52 from Metamora) on Saturday, July 4. Parade starts at 6 pm at the park (route crosses US 52 and goes through Metamora). 3 pm food starts — pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, ice cold drinks. Also included are kids’ games, pull tabs, bounce house, slides, tractor pull. Live music by Stagger Lee. Beer garden from 3 pm – 3 am. Fireworks at dusk at Gateway Park.
Come join the Metamora Volunteer Firemen and the Infamous Few Charity Riders for a day of riding and celebration. These men are all volunteers and need our support to keep their firehouse functioning and in good order so they too can help others when called upon! This ride will take us through scenic Franklin and Ripley Counties on a relaxing cruise through the countryside. Please plan on joining us for the entire day, as we will be having breakfast early and attending the Firemen’s Festival afterwards. Registration at the Hearthstone Restaurant: $20 per person / $25 per couple (10 am – 12 pm; breakfast available for purchase) Ride leaves at noon; ends a the firehouse and includes dinner with registration fee (all others are $8 per person)
