The Batesville Boy’s Varsity Tennis team was defeated by Columbus East 4-1 on Thursday. Batesville is now 8-2 on the season.
#1 Singles- Beau Brown was defeated by Alex Galle 3-6, 3-6
#2 Singles- Ben Schwettman was defeated by Jo Jo Woolwine 2-6, 1-6
#3 Singles- Spencer Rose was defeated by Neeraj Pandita 6-4, 4-7, 5-7
#1 Doubles- Harsh Patel and Paul Ritter were defeated by Matt Furnish and Sammy Woolwine 4-6, 6-7 (2)
#2 Doubles- Jonathan Kunkel and Paul Ritter defeated Daniel Kuhlman and Austin Guse 7-6 (5), 6-2
In JV action, Batesville tied with Columbus East 2-2. The doubles teams of Sam Giesting/George RItter and Cooper Williams/Brayden Worthington were winners.
Batesville will play in the Columbus North Invite on Saturday at 9:00 AM.
