The East Central Trojans hosted the Trojan Track Invitational at St. Leon.
The Lady Bulldogs won The Girls Meet with 127 points, East Central placed 2nd with 117, Oldenburg Academy came in third with 99 points, Greesnburg followed with 68, South Dearborn-39, Franklin County-24 and Centerville had 22.
The host Trojans won The Boys Meet with 162, Batesville was 2nd with 139, Centerville came in 3rd with 49, followed by Franklin County 42, South Dearborn 39, and Oldenburg and Greensburg tied for 6th with 31 points.
For Batesville, Ginny Westerfeld broke the meet record in the 100m dash set 9 years ago, but also broke her own meet record in the 200m dash. Ginny came through in first in both of these event at 12.47 and 26.15. The 4 x 400 team of Kim Tidman, Kelsey Gausman, Ginny Westerfeld and Rylee
Goldsmith came in first and broke our school record flying through in 4:10.66. Ginny was also named the meet’s MVP. Congratulation ladies! Others earning first place finishes were: Kim Tidman in long jump with a leap of 16’7.75″, Nathan Longstreth in high jump (6’0), John Moody in the 400m dash-52.65, Matt Dennis in the 300m hurdles, and the boys 4 x 400m relay of Nathan Longstreth, John Moody, Peter Heil and Michael Tunny (3:31.75).
Placing second and the runner up honors were: Kelsey Gausman: 800m run and 1600m run, Kim Tidman-high jump, Cassie Reverman-shot put
Garrett Yorn-800m run, Peter Heil-110 hurdles, Tom Chaffee-high jump
4 x 800 relay teams of: Grace Yeaton, Mary Poltrack, Sarah Poltrack and Kelsey Gausman…also-Caleb Moster, Cole Nuhring, Connor Bell and Garrett Yorn. 4 x 100 relay team of: Michael Tunny, Zach Mears, Jacob Koehne and Tanner Ayette.
3rd place finishes were: Sophie Meadows-100m dash, Rylee Goldsmith- 400m dash and high jump, Grace Yeaton-3200m run, Alex Wirth-pole vault, Matt Dennis-110m hurdles, Garrett Yorn-400m dash, Ben Westerfeld-pole vault, Peter Heil-long jump, and Kevin Bedel-discus.
4th place goes to: Zach Mears-100m dash, Michael Tunny-200m dash,
Connor Bell-800m run, Cole Nuhring-1600m run, Chris Riffle-3200m run,
Jordan Moorman-discus.
5th place: Grace Yeaton-800m run, Sarah Poltrack-3200m run, Cassie Reverman-discus, Jacob Koehne-200m dash, Peter Heil-300m hurdles.
and 6th place, finishing out the scoring points were: Michaela Westerfeld- 200m dash, Mary Poltrack-1600m run, Brooke Hartman-100m hurdle,s
Clare Bruns-300m hurdles, Samantha Heidlage-shot put and discus, Caleb Moster-1600m run.

Next week the Bulldogs travel to Frankin County on Tuesday to take on the Wildcats beginning at 5:30. On Thursday we will host the County meet and also honor our seniors.
