Bulldogs And Knights Split Middle School Games

basketballThe Batesville Middle School 7th Grade boys lost to South Dearborn on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs dropped another heartbreaker, 29 to 27.

Batesville got down by 6 in the 4th quarter, however was able to put together a great comeback, taking the lead 25 to 24 with about 2 minutes to go in the game. But some costly mental mistakes and turnovers cost the Bulldogs a hard fought road victory.

The 7th Grade was led by Calvin Sherwood with 9 points, Mason Barker with 5 points, Ethan Brewer with 4 points, Trey Peters with 3 points, and RJ Powell, Nathan Villani and Alex Siefert each added 2 points.

The Bulldogs now drop to 3-7 on the year. Batesville will play again this week on Thursday night at Batesville Middle School when they take on the Milan Indians.

The Bulldogs 8th Graders won 34-21.  Batesville 8th Improves to 6-4

“It was a rough first half. We had a hard time making shots, and turnovers were limiting our offensive opportunities. In the 2nd half the boys poured it on defensively, and made some tough shots going to the basket under pressure. Seth Gausman and Colt Meyer set the tone on defense, creating turnover after turnover.
