The 7th grade Batesville football team finished their season with an exciting 12 – 8 victory over Rushville on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs scored their first touchdown on a 46 yard run by Brayden Linkel. Rushville scored to take a 8 -6 lead. Towards the end of the 3rd quarter, Jacob Cruse took a snap out of punt formation and ran 93 yards for a TD to end the scoring.
The defense was led by Seth Gausman who had 2 interceptions. Sam Bowman, Marshall Kinnard, Abe Peetz, and Ethan Meyer also had good games for the Bulldogs.
Batesville finished with a 2 – 6 record.
