Budget Cuts Looming For Greensburg Schools

Greensburg Schools could see an 0.8 percent budget cut from last year.

GREENSBURG — Greensburg Community Schools could likely see a budget cut of approximately $200,000 for next school year.

Superintendent Tom Hunter told the school board that corporation would advertise a budget of $26.4 million, opposed to $26.6 million last year, according to the Greensburg Daily News.

Hunter expects tax rate, which help determine property tax bills, to be on par with last year.

The Indiana Department of Local Government Finance will either approve or deny the corporations advertised budget.

The Sunman Chamber of Commerce invites all to enjoy two days of shopping and fun at Sunman Daze. Celebrating local businesses and neighbors with sidewalk sales, specials, family yard sales, farmer’s market, and Walking Warrior’s Grilling with Bill at FCN Bank. The annual event is held on Friday from 10 am – 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am – 3 pm.
