Walter G. Allen, 75, Metamora

 

Walter G. Allen, age 75, of Connersville, Indiana died late Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at his residence in Connersville.

Born February 22, 1945 in Metamora, Indiana he was the son of the late Bleve C. & Edith O. (Burch) Allen.  On March 5, 1970 he was united in marriage to the former Rachel Ann Miller, and she survives.

He was retired, having worked for many years as a press operator at Tool & Die.  In his leisure time he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting mushrooms.

He was a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Holiness Church in Metamora.

In addition to Rachel, his loving wife of over 50 years, survivors include nine children, Candy (Bobby) Reckers of Metamora, Indiana, Tammy (Rob Pennington) Allen of Milford, Ohio, Brad (Connie) Allen of Laurel, Indiana, Chris (Amanda) Allen of Greensburg, Indiana, Jason (Angie) Allen of Brookville, Indiana, Jeremiah Allen of Connersville, Indiana, Johnny Allen of Indiana, Misty Allen of Connersville, Indiana, and Stephanie (Jim Snider) Allen of Maryland; 42 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Ott of Metamora, Indiana, Sharon Rasner of Connersville, Indiana and Peggy Free of Connersville, Indiana; a brother, Delbert Allen of  Metamora, Indiana, as well as many nieces & nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Ison, three brothers, Isham Allen, Stanley Allen and Melvin Paul Allen, as well as two sisters, Wilma Wireman and Terri Wilson.

Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Trinity Full Gospel Holiness Church, 20015 Haytown Road, Metamora, Indiana.

Rob Rasner will officiate the Funeral Services at 12:00 Noon Monday, December 21, 2020, at Trinity Full Gospel Holiness Church.  Burial will follow in Cupps Chapel Cemetery in Metamora.
