Batesville, IN — The official ribbon-cutting for the Umbrella Sky Project of Portugal took place on a sunny day in Batesville Saturday. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce.
The world-renowned exhibit has been featured in just a few cities in Europe and the United States.
The display was brought to the area by the Batesville Area Arts Council and has already had a large number of visitors since the umbrellas were opened recently.
The umbrellas will be up and open at the corner of Main and Boehringer streets in downtown Batesville until mid-October.
