Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat” (O’Connor) Miller, age 76, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on December 21, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late, James B. and Pauline Josephine (Barkhau) O’Connor. She was raised in Hamilton County, Ohio where she attended Colerain High School. On May 4, 1963 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Pat was united in marriage to George Michael Miller, Sr. Pat and George shared over 49 years of marriage together until he passed away on December 24, 2012. In 1978, Pat and George moved to the Switzerland County community and was employed in production for the US Shoe Factory. She was later employed in housekeeping for Belterra Casino and Resort in Florence, Indiana for three years, retiring in 2000. Pat was a former member of the Bennington Homemakers Club and the Hope Rebekah Lodge #851. Pat was a member of the Markland Baptist Church in Markland, Indiana. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Pat passed away on Friday. July 2, 2021, at the Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky.
Pat will be missed by her children, Jeanne Bragg and her husband, Russ of Vevay, IN, Mindy Otter and her husband, Roy of Bennington, IN, Jennie Simpkins of Vevay, IN, George Miller, Jr. of Center Square, IN and James Miller and his companion, Lisa Smith of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren, Brittany Bragg, Bethany Armstrong and her husband, Devon, Brennan Bragg and his wife, Melissa, Michael Miller, Zachary Miller, Keegan Otter, Traiten Otter, Brianna Simpkins, Torie Simpkins and her companion, James Dorman, Troy Simpkins, Jr. and his wife, Megan and Quentin Smith; her great-grandchildren, Bentley, Sawyer, Colstyn, Owynn, Weston, Shilo and Kendrick; her brother, James O’Connor and his wife, Rhonda of Cincinnati, OH and her sister, Ruth Tasch of Middletown, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. and Pauline Josephine (Barkhau) O’Connor; her husband, George Michael Miller, Sr. and her grandsons, Hayden Otter and Derek Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Bobby Brundige Jr., at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
