Twisters Baseball Sneak By #9 Ranked Greenwood Christian

Indianapolis, IN – The Oldenburg Academy Twisters travelled up I-74 to take on the highly ranked Greenwood Christian Cougars at Indianapolis Sports Park.

The Twisters held the lead for most of this game, despite what the score may indicate. A single by Brandt Kieninger put the Cougars on the board in the bottom of the third, but OA quickly regained the lead on an error in the top of the 4th, along with a single via Clay Eckstein.

Eckstein opened the game for the Twisters. The pitcher allowed five hits and four runs over six and one-third innings, striking out four and walking four. Kieninger stepped on the hill first for Greenwood Christian Academy. The starter surrendered three hits and three runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Jacob Stenger appeared in relief for the Twisters.
Eckstein, Zach Hoff, Stenger, and Connor Holder each collected one hit for the Twisters. Stenger went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Oldenburg Academy turned one double play in the game.
