Tucker Files for Ripley Superior Judge

(Indianapolis, IN) – Chief Deputy Prosecutor Shane Tucker has filed his declaration of candidacy for the Republican Party nomination for Ripley County Superior Court Judge in the May 5 Primary Election.

To appear on the ballot for the May Primary, judicial candidates must file their paperwork with the Indiana Secretary of State Election Division between January 7 and January 21, 2026.

Tucker has served as Ripley County Chief Deputy Prosecutor since 2015 and, prior to his promotion, served as a Deputy Prosecutor since 2012.

He is a 2005 graduate of Batesville High School and is married to his high-school sweetheart, Carie (Thielking) Tucker, who has worked as a preschool teacher at Ms. Sarah’s Schoolhouse since 2009. They are the parents of four children: Knox (age 8), Jane (7), Reed (5), and Will (4).

Tucker graduated in 2012 from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Prior to that, he received his bachelor’s degree in American History with Honors from Indiana University in 2009.

Tucker belongs to multiple professional legal organizations, has served as a Board Member for Safe Passage, Inc. He attends Holy Family Catholic Church.
