Teresa Ann Ledford, of Brookville, was born on May 1, 1964, in Connersville, Indiana, the cherished daughter of Fred Barnes Sr. and Mary Ann Burch Barnes. She was a proud graduate of Brookville High School and went on to earn her master’s degree after attending IUPUI in Indianapolis. On July 9, 1983, Teresa married Gary Ledford, and together they raised two loving sons. Teresa retired as a Chemist from Eli Lilly & Company, though retirement didn’t keep her still for long. She later returned to the workforce, first with the Indiana DNR, and most recently as a CDL driver for MLS Logistics. A devoted member of Higher Praise Worship Center in Connersville, Teresa volunteered and participated in countless church activities over the years. God was always number one in her life, followed closely by her church and family. Throughout her life, Teresa enjoyed many hobbies. She loved golfing, riding her Harley-Davidson, and spending time outdoors—whether fishing, gardening, or riding horses. She also had a passion for traveling and camping, but above all, her greatest joy was her grandchildren. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the age of 61, Teresa went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Those surviving who will cherish Teresa’s memory include her loving husband, Gary Ledford; one son, Aaron (Shea) Ledford; her father, Fred Barnes Sr.; 2 siblings, Tammy (Jay) Hurst and Freddy Joe, Jr. (Tina) Barnes; 5 grandchildren, Kasen, Isaac, Penelope, Kohen, and Navy Ledford; 8 nieces and nephews, Chad, Jeff (Cassie), Kathryn, and Margaret Hurst, Rebecca (Blake) Quinlan, Jodi (Austin) Seale, Tyler and Kylee Ledford.
