State reports single day below 1,000 COVID cases for first time since October

STATEWIDE — The number of COVID-19 cases continues to trend downward across Indiana.

The state Health Department on Monday reported 900 new cases, which is the first day since October 24, 2021, that Indiana has recorded less than 1,000 cases in a single day.

There were 910 cases reported that day.

The last time Indiana had multiple days below 1,000 was in late July 2021.

Locally, all four counties were in the single digits on Monday.

Dearborn County reported eight cases; Ripley County had five positives; Franklin County reported four, and Decatur County had two positive cases.
