The St. Louis 8th Grade Boys Basketball team finished third in the St. Louis Holiday Tournament.
The first game saw the Cardinals battle with Greendale. This was a hard fought game that saw the Cardinals trail at halftime 25-15. The Cardinals were able to cut the lead to 7 points but Greendale was just too much as they won 37-26. The Cardinals were led in scoring by Luke Richardson with 12 points, Cam Anderson with 9 points and Ryan McGuire with 5 points.
The second game saw a rematch as The Cardinals took on South Ripley. In this game, The Cardinals jumped out early and never looked back on their way to a 38-24 win. This improves their record to 12-2 on the season. The Cardinals were led in scoring by Cam Anderson with 12 points, Grant Hartwell with 10 points, Luke Richardson with 8 points, Ryan McGuire with 4 points, and Wyatt Steinkamp and Hunter Young with 2 points a piece.
I would like to thank Mike Burkhart for all the hard work he has put in to make this tournament happen. I would also like to thank all the teams involved, especially the fans that came out in support. Without them none of this is possible.
