Class 2A #13 South Ripley remained undefeated with a 78-74 win at Batesville in boys basketball heard yesterday afternoon on WRBI. The Raiders Cole Henry led all scorers with 34 points – 23 of which came in the first half. Teammate Blaine Ward added 23. Drew Volz contributed 12. The Bulldogs were led by Brayden Maple, who had 17 points, followed by Cade Kaiser with 14, James Hughes with 13, and Trent Luers with 12. South Ripley improves to 8-0 while Batesville drops to 3-3.

Class 1A #13 North Decatur bested Columbus East 50-38 in girls basketball last night. The Chargers go to 8-4 on the year.

The Pacers knocked off the Golden State Warriors 111-105 last night on the West Coast. Myles Turner led the way for Indiana with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Five others were in double figures for the Pacers, who even their record at 15-15.

The Green Bay Packers shut out the New Orleans Saints 34-0 on Monday Night Football. It was the first shutout in the NFL this season.

Tennessee, Auburn and Iowa State remain at 1, 2 and 3, respectively, in this week’s AP Top 25 College Basketball poll. Duke and Alabama round out the top five. Kentucky dropped six spots to #10; UC moves up two notches to #17, and Purdue slides five places to #21.
