Southwestern won it’s second ORVC volleyball match of the season taking Milan in three games: 25-21, 25-9, 25-18
Rebel coach Chris Johnson said, “This match was our most consistent night of play this season. We did not have the big swings back and forth. We did a good job of starting off playing well, building a lead and then maintaining that lead in each set.”
“We had a very balanced offense with five players over five kills each,” added Johnson Meaghan Kramer had a fantastic game both defensively and running a consistent offense. She always kept her hitters in positions where they could be successful.”
“As a team, we hit at 89 percent with an efficiency rate of .222 and served at 93 percent with eight aces,” concluded Johnson. “Those are solid numbers for an offense. We are now 8-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference.”
Southwestern reported stats:
- Riley Scroggins- 8 kills on 14 for 15 hitting
- Kylie Eccles- 8 kills on 19 for 21 hitting and 16 for 17 serving with 2 aces
- Marissa Naylor- 6 kills on 12 for 15 hitting and 11 for 11 serving with 2 aces plus 8 digs
- Meaghan Kramer- 1 block and 6 kills on 16 for 18 attacking, 13 for 13 serving with 1 ace, and 66 for 67 setting with 14 assists
- Ashleigh Ream- 14 for 16 serving with 2 aces and 20 for 20 passing with 15 digs
Southwestern also won the JV match 17-25. 25-20 and 15-9. The Rebel reserves are also 2-0 in the conference.

- Jaden Davidson- 18 for 18 setting with 5 assists
