Secretary of State urges young Hoosiers to become Election Day poll workers

Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales.

(Statewide) – Early voting for the November 7 municipal elections is underway and runs through Noon on Monday, November 6.

Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales says he would like to see young people at or near the voting age get involved.

“I’m encouraging seniors in high school, even if they’re 17 years old, to become poll workers,” Morales said. “We need poll workers (across the state) for November 7.”

He added it’s about doing your civic duty – next month and beyond.

“This is not a Republican or Democrat issue. We want poll workers to get involved and be part of our elections,” Morales said.

Contact your county board of elections or visit indianavoters.IN.gov if you’re interested in becoming a poll worker.
