One flown from motorcycle vs. dog collision near Friendship

(Friendship, IN) – One person was airlifted from a motorcycle accident on the 6,000 block of East County Road 550 South near Friendship Tuesday afternoon.

Rescuers arriving on the scene around 3:52 p.m. determined a motorcycle struck a dog and, as a result of the collision, the rider was thrown from the bike.

The unidentified rider was treated at the scene and flown to UC Medical Center with undisclosed injuries.

Information on the dog’s fate was not provided.

Responding agencies included the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, Friendship Volunteer Fire Department, Ripley County EMS, and PHI Air Medical.
