Rushville picked up an important win in EIAC Boys Tennis Tuesday as the Lions defeated Batesville 3-2. It improved RCHS to 5-0 in the conference to keep pace with Connersville whom the Lions will play next in a big showdown.
“The kids took a giant step toward achieving one of the goals we set for the season,” said Rushville coach Hollis Heuer. “Getting by Batesville is no small task, but our seniors dug in and all three came up with straight set wins. We face our friends from Connersville next and it has shaped up to be a pivotal match in our bid to win the conference. The Lions are 13-1 overall and 5-0 in the EIAC.”
“The Bulldogs dropped a hard fought match against Rushville to fall to 7-4 on the year and 3-2 in the EIAC,” said BHS coach Mitchell Taylor. “Our 1 doubles team of Cole Pride and Jackson Tracy continue to play well and won their match 6-0. 6-2. Alec Bunselmeier and Sam Johnson at 2 doubles continued their dominance (10-1) as they won 6-2, 6-0.”

- JV- Deev Ranka, Chase Schwegman and Jackson Wanstrath of Batesville all won a singles match.
