Robert E. Todd, 96, Sunman

Robert E. Todd, 96, of Sunman passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. He was born on February 4, 1928 in Switzerland County, Indiana as the son of Glenn and Ruth Todd.

Bob graduated from Napoleon High School in 1947. He married Lois Drockelman on December 1, 1948 at Adams Lutheran Church. Bob was a dedicated member of Adams Lutheran Church and the Ripley County Saddle Club since 1956. Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly, first operating a milk route, and later driving for Aikins Motor Express. Robert also contributed his skills to Batesville Casket Company in the truck garage before becoming the proud owner of Todd Wrecker Service. His work ethic, service to his community, and unwavering commitment to those he served will always be remembered. Bob loved riding horses and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping and exploring the countryside. The happiest moments for him were those spent outdoors with loved ones and his horses.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lois; son, Donnell (Janet) Todd; daughter: Patricia (Michael) Ragland; grandchildren: Brian Todd, Eric R. (Sarah) Todd, Jason (Darrell Goffinet) Todd, Eric S. (Sharla) Todd, Jay Todd, Kristi (Tyler) Kraemer, Amy (Joe) Kramer; great-grandchildren: Maddie Miller, Beau Todd, Luke Todd, Arica Todd, Arin Todd, Blake Kraemer, Dylan Kraemer, Kathleen Kraemer, Noah Kramer, and Ella Kramer; sister: Helen Einhaus; brother: Ken (Bonnie) Todd.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Todd; daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Roell) Todd; brother-in-law, Wayne Einhaus; parents-in-law, Earl and Florence Drockelman; brother and sister-in-law, Art and Maxine Drockelman.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Meyers Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 11:00 am at Adams Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Booster officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
