Ripley County native assigned to ISP Versailles District

Versailles, In. — William “Paul” Waller, 27, a recent graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy has been assigned to the Versailles Post of the Indiana State police.

Waller completed more than 900 hours of intensive training during the 24-week academy to prepare the appointment. The training included emergency vehicle operations, accident investigations, firearms, defensive tactics, criminal and traffic law.

Following a three month field training program Waller will begin solo patrols.

Waller is a 2008 graduate of South Ripley High School and 2010 graduate of Vincennes University with a degree in criminal justice. Beofe being accepted into the academy Waller worked for Rumpke and the Ripley County Highway Department. He resides in Ripley County with his wife and two children.
