Reva W. (Whisman) Everage, 96, Milan

         Reva (Whisman) Everage, 96, of Milan passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at Ripley Crossing. Reva was born Sunday, November 15, 1925 near Osgood, Indiana, the daughter of Robert and Nora (Russell) Whisman. She married Robert “R.C.” Everage on September 6, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2008.

Reva was a 1944 graduate of Napoleon High School and completed two years at Ball State University. After their marriage she traveled across the United States, Europe, and Puerto Rico with R.C. during his military career. During this time Reva held a variety of secretarial and administrative positions including secretary to the administrator of Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana and administrative assistant for Stedman’s. Following his retirement Reva and R.C. owned and operated the Delaware General Store from 1978 – 1988.

Reva was a lifetime member of the Delaware United Methodist Church. She and R.C. were the Indiana State Directors of Newmar Kountry Klub International Camping Group for some years and traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico in their motorhome.

Reva enjoyed camping, traveling, reading, sewing, playing bridge, dancing, gardening, and spending time with church, friends, and family.

Survivors include son Robert A. (Linda) Everage of Milan; daughters Tena (Michael) Price of Hotchkiss, Colorado, and Cheri Ratliff of Milan; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister-in law Carley Whisman of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Reva was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nora, husband, R.C., Lynn Whisman, and son-in-law James Ratliff.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a late date.
