(Ripley County, IN) – A farming accident at Vogt Farms on State Road 129 south of Batesville claimed the life of one of the family members Friday morning.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says 73-year-old Jerry Vogt died as a result of the accident.
Deputies say the family is requesting, “…that you respect their privacy during this trying time.”
No other details about the accident have been released.
In addition to Sheriff Rob Bradley’s Office, responding agencies included Batesville Fire and Rescue, the Batesville Police Department, and Indiana State Police.
The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and ISP.
