King Sets Another Record

Highlights from the Jennings Co./Trinity/Seymour swim meet on Saturday (12/21/24):

Congratulations to Nash King on setting a pool record this past weekend in Seymour! He went a 1:58.14 in the 200 IM breaking the existing pool record of 1:58.22 set over thirty years ago in 1989!

Congratulations to the Boys 200 Medley Relay team that continues to get quality wins over solid teams in our area. OA finished in First Place ahead of a strong and deep Seymour squad in the Medley, going 1:50.02 to Seymour’s 1:55.40. (Nash King, Santiago Schutte, Sully Hill and Grant Rosenberger)

Individual First Place Finishes:
Nash in the 200 IM Time: 1:58.14 and in the 100 Breast Time: 1:00.08

Sully Hill in the 100 Fly Time: 1:11.53

This meet was scored as Dual Meet Scores Seymour won all of the dual meets

Women:
Oldenburg finished ahead of Trinity Lutheran 61 to 18

Men:
Oldenburg finished ahead of Jennings County 64 to 47 Trinity Lutheran did not have any male swimmers.

For the first time this year, OA swam in the Women’s 400 Free Relay (Alejandra Schutte, Avery Austin, Caroline Niese and Ella Maxwell) finishing third behind Seymour A and B but ahead of Jennings County with a time of 4:41.05.

So far this year, the OA Boys have Medley Relay victories over Lawrenceburg, South Dearborn, Richmond, Centerville, Taylor (OH), Harrison (OH), Colerain (OH), Cincinnati Christian (OH), LaSalle (OH), Milan, Wilmington (OH, I think!), Batesville, Seymour and Jennings County.
Faster 200 Medley Relays have been East Central, Elder (OH), Oak Hills (OH) and Ryle (KY). Record: 14 and 4. (.777) winning percentage. Kickin it!!
