OLDENBURG, Ind. — Oldenburg Academy recently took home the top award in the Regional Maverick Challenge held in Columbus, Indiana.
The Maverick Challenge is a high school business planning competition for students in Southern Indiana.
Oldenburg Academy seniors Haleigh Reed and Samantha Nobbe created a business plan for a company called The Bean Company.
The Bean Company takes coffee grounds and creates beauty products.
The business specializes in custom-made products.
The two seniors achieved first place at the regional level, bringing home $3,000 in prize money.
