No injuries from early morning fire

Napoleon, IN — Around 2 am on Sunday, the Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on Michigan Road for a working structure fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the kitchen fully-involved in flames. Officials say the fire was confined primarily to the kitchen and adjacent areas, though there was significant damage to the home. The homeowner was able to escape before crews arrived on the scene and there were no injuries.

Mutual aid assistance was provided at the scene by the Osgood Volunteer Fire Department and Versailles Fire Rescue.
