Mr. Mark Alan Craig

Mr. Mark Alan Craig, age 69, of near Quercus Grove, Indiana, entered this life on April 9, 1956 in Madison, Indiana. He was the son of the late Vachel H. and Ruth Jean (Kinman) Craig. He was raised in Switzerland County and was a 1974 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Mark was a former millwright for APM and GE where he was employed in maintenance and worked on turbine generators, retiring in 2015, after 40 years of service. He was a lifelong resident of the Switzerland County community and was baptized at the Patriot Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Millwrights Local Union No.1380 of Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Local Union No.1519 of Arlington, Ohio. Mark was a member of the Millwrights Pile Drivers Local Union No.1090 of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mark enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Mark took great pride in his home and surroundings. He could be found meticulously working in his yard and garden, but his true relaxation came from the company of family and friends gathered in his garage.Mark passed away at 4:30 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2025, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky.

Mark is survived by his son, Jason Craig and his wife, Jennifer of Patriot, IN; his daughters, Jamie Smith and her husband, Charlie of Madison, IN, and Jenna Craig of Quercus Grove, IN; his grandchildren, Camden, Corbin, Ava, and Jackson; his brothers, Randy Craig and his wife, Chris of Quercus Grove, IN, Kerry Craig and his wife, Marilyn of Quercus Grove, IN, David Craig and his wife, Lisa of Quercus Grove, IN, Eddy Craig and his wife, Bernita of Quercus Grove, IN, and Kevin Craig and his wife, Nancy of near Mt. Sterling, IN; and his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vachel H. Craig, died June 21, 2010; his mother, Ruth Jean (Kinman) Craig, died September 18, 1998; his brother, Gordon Ray Craig, died October 30, 2023; and his nephew, Thor William Craig, died January 16, 2012.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025, by Rev. Mike Sawalich, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, in Patriot, Indiana.

Following the burial, the family will be hosting a luncheon at Mark’s residence in Quercus Grove, Indiana.
