Morville Lee Cox, 81, of Osgood passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville. Morville was born on Friday, November 1, 1940 in McCreary County, Kentucky; son of Elmer and Mabra (Thomas) Cox. Morville worked in construction as a laborer. He enjoyed fishing, puzzles, and reading his western books.
Morville will be missed by his son Benjamin “Joe” (Darlene) Cox of Moores Hill; daughters Marie (Monroe) Davidson of Franklin, Ohio, and Geneva (Rick) Gould of Sunman; his siblings: Jimmy Darrel, James, Walter and Mike Cox, Patricia Crabtree, John Ridener, Elizabeth Poe, Cathy Gowin, Judy Clark, Pamela Hatfield, and Lisa King; stepdaughters Kelly Ard and Connie Ard; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
Morville is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mabra, son Willie Cox, wife Geraldine Cox, stepson James Ard, sister Barbara Hollars, brothers Lanny Cox and Willie Cox Jr., and mother of their children Geneva (Barrett) Cox.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Morville from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will be held immediately following at 12:00 PM with Reverend Paul Hensley officiating. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
