Mary Lou Kinker

Mary Lou Kinker, 81, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 15, 1944, in Sunman, Indiana, the daughter of August and Martha (Bedel) Brunsman. She was one of eight children. Mary Lou lived a life devoted to her faith, her beloved husband, and her family.

Mary Lou married the love of her life, Dennis Kinker, on August 5, 1967. Their marriage was a lasting example of love and devotion. Dennis survives her. Together they raised four children, Jane Burkert (Mark), Greg Kinker (Amy), Andy Kinker, all of Greensburg, and Becky Gates (Jim) of Aurora, Indiana. They were blessed with ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one on the way.

For most of their lives, Mary Lou and Dennis lived on the family farm, where they shared a quiet and meaningful life centered on faith and family. One of their most cherished traditions was praying the rosary together each evening reflecting the deep faith that guided her life.

Mary Lou enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, crafts, and puzzles. She also loved playing games such as Rack-O, Uno, Yahtzee, Solitaire, and Skip-Bo with family, often sharing laughter and friendly competition. Time spent with her sisters and loved ones brought her great joy.

Mary Lou will be remembered for her quiet strength, deep faith, patience, and her acceptance of God’s will. The simple life she cherished and the traditions she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The Rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Monday, March 16, 2026, followed by visitation from 9:00 am – 11:00 am and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Enochsburg.
