Man Arrested at Osgood Home on Several Drug Charges

(Osgood, IN) – A Seymour man is being held in the Ripley County Jail without bond following his arrest at an Osgood area home on multiple drug charges.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, Osgood Police Department and Indiana State Police served a warrant at the home early Friday morning on 29-year-old Blake Thomas Brashear.

He was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Jackson County.

Brashear was arrested without incident.

During a search of the residence, authorities allegedly recovered suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun.

Brashear is facing Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug; Possession of Methamphetamine (both Level 6 felonies); Visiting a Common Nuisance; Possession of Marijuana (both Class B misdemeanors), and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C misdemeanor).

Deputies say the investigation is ongoing because there are other parties involved, and that additional charges may be pending.
