Man Accused in Youth Football Shoving Incident Turns Himself In

(Versailles, IN) – A man accused of shoving a Milan youth football player earlier this month has turned himself in to the Ripley County Jail.

50-year-old Leon Morales is charged with Battery on a Person Less than 14-Years-Old When Defendant is 18 or Older (Level 6 felony) after police provided video of him allegedly shoving a 10-year-old at the Milan football fields on September 6.

A warrant was issued for his arrest last week.

Morales was coaching a team from suburban Cincinnati at the time of the incident.

Bond was set at $1,000 cash by Ripley Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Sharp at an initial hearing this week.

Morales’ jury trial is set for January 20 at 9 a.m.
