Linda Kay Smither, 77, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023.
She was born August 24, 1945, in Aurora, IN, daughter of the late Raymond P. Peters and Irene (Feller) Hicks.
Linda worked many years as an interior decorator as well as in retail sales. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Linda enjoyed sewing and many types of crafts. She was addicted to Diamond Art. She loved going to yard sales, and BINGO, and she loved to play cards. She especially enjoyed being with her family and friends. Her most precious time was spent with her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her children, Cindy (Charlie) Proctor of West Harrison, IN, Tony (Jamie) Smither of Arvada, CO, Sherry Roland of Lawrenceburg, IN; siblings, Charlotte Hastings of Aurora, IN, Kenny (Zora) Peters of Avondale, FL, Mike (Diane) Peters of Aurora, IN; grandchildren, Justin (Tiffany) Pettit of Aurora, IN, Jordan (Amy) Smither of Arvada, CO, Morgan (Devin) Sandlin of Arvada, CO, Christopher (Samantha) Proctor of Hamilton, OH; seven great-grandchildren, Landon Bray, Mila Pettit, Nash Pettit, Cooper Proctor, Charlie Proctor, Nora Smither, and Gwen Sandlin.
She was preceded in death by father, Raymond P. Peters; mother, Irene Hicks; sisters, Patricia (Daniel) Carter, Donna (John) VanOstrand.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
A memorial services will be held at the Funeral Home, at 2:00 pm immediately following visitation.
