Lawrenceburg, IN — A 20-year-old Lawrenceburg man has been arrested for allegedly dealing marijuana and controlled substances to school children. Noah Sauntry has been charged with Dealing a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance (Level 2 Felony): Corrupt Business Influence (Level 5 Felony); Dealing in Marijuana and Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Both Level 6 felonies). Detectives assigned to the Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit began investigating Sauntry after multiple tips were received that he was using the social media app Snapchat to communicate and sell marijuana, THC vape cartridges, and other controlled substances including acid or LSD to area high school students. Dearborn County Sheriff deputies arrested Sauntry during a traffic stop last week. During the traffic stop, noticed a strong odor of marijuana from the vehicle and a search of the vehicle yielded approximately 40 grams of psylocibin mushrooms and approximately 55 grams of marijuana “wax.” A search of Sauntry’s home allegedly turned up marijuana, items commonly used to package and sell drugs, an AR-15, a large amount of drug paraphernalia and over $3,000 in US currency. Sauntry is being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center, pending an initial hearing.
