The Batesville Girls Varsity T
ennis team defeated Connersville 4-1 to open up the season.
#1 Singles- Alana Pinckley won 7-5, 6-3.
#2 Singles= Rachael Rose won 6-0, 6-1.
#3 Singles- Audrey Weigel won 6-0, 6-0.
#1 Doubles= Anna Kick and Julia Hunter lost 6-7(2), 4-6.
#2 Doubles- Baylee Rohlfing and Corinne Stone won 6-0, 6-1.
The JV also won, 7-0. Winners were Sophie Brown, Maggie Walsman, and Bea Amberger in singles and Maggie Schwettman and Audrey Amberger in doubles (two matches).
Batesville is 1-0 on the season and 1-0 in the EIAC. They will play Centerville at home on Monday at 5:00.
