Thursday night (1/31), the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Columbus North HS to participate in the opening round of the IHSAA Sectional meet.
Overall, the Lady Bulldogs had a great night participating in a tough sectional. “Of our 9 athletes, we have 7 individual swims coming back for the finals on Saturday, including A-finals for all three of our relay teams,” noted Coach Greg McMullen.
Kate Poltrack and Allison Storms lead the Lady Bulldogs, qualifying for both of their individual events. Senior Kate Poltrack dropped time from her previous life-time bests in both the 200 and the 500 Free qualifying 9th and 14th respectively.
Junior Allison Storms same a life-time best in the 200 IM qualifying 9th place to secure a the top spot in the “B” final, while just missing her school record 1:14.14 with a qualifying time of 1:14.17 in the 100 Breaststroke, where she qualified for 7th.
