Knights of Columbus Council #1461 in a giving mood this holiday season

BATESVILLE, IN — Knights of Columbus Council #1461 has donated money to several organizations and their worthy causes.

Oldenburg Academy received $250 for its Scholarship Funding Program.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office received $75 for its Kids Christmas Giving Program.

One of the K of C’s main donation recipients, The Gibault House, was sent a $500 check to buy Christmas gifts for children who are residents of the facility.

And Knights of Columbus District Deputy Nick Schuck will receive a check of $115 to purchase a generator, which will be used in disaster areas, such as Western Kentucky, where deadly tornados left a wide path of death and destruction.

The donations were made at the Council’s meeting on December 13.
