Kimberly “Kim” L. (Hudson) Vinup, 57, of Aurora passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn in Lawrenceburg. Kim was born on Thursday, November 26, 1964 in Lawrenceburg; daughter of Leslie “Carroll” and Arlene (Sullivan) Hudson. She married William “Bill” Vinup on June 30, 1984. Kim worked for Matthews Casket. Her greatest passions in life were her family and helping others. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and coordinating/hosting family gatherings.
Kim enjoyed hunting, taking care of her goats and her dog “Rosco”, and she loved the snow. Kim was a regular supporter of P.A.W.S. and was an avid Colts fan.
Kim is survived by her loving husband, Bill Vinup of Aurora; her children Steve Vinup of Dillsboro, Joseph “Joe” Vinup (Bobbi) of Aurora, and Justin Vinup (Tiffiney) of Union, KY; Mother Arlene Hudson of Dillsboro; her siblings Charles “Chuck” Keller (Regina) of Lawrenceburg, David Hudson of Dillsboro, Patricia “Patty” Hudson of Dillsboro, Melvin “Mel” Hudson (Kimberly) of Aurora, and Rory Hudson of Dillsboro; grandchildren Owen, Annabella, Elijah, Zoey, Bailee, Brylee, Brinlee, Sophia, Emma, and Lyndi.
Kim is preceded in death by her father Leslie “Carroll” Hudson.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Kim from 6 – 8 PM on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 11 (also at the funeral home) with Pastor Sherman Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
