John Russell Rogers passed away at the age of 83 at his residence in Versailles with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. John was born on Saturday, September 23, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Ann (Bolington) Rogers. John married his loving wife, Betty Oaks. John’s religion was Catholic. He worked for Bright, Inc. as a steel worker. He enjoyed bowling and the outdoors, where he could often be found hunting, fishing, or camping. He loved his family, but his greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren.
John will be dearly missed by his wife Betty Rogers of Versailles; daughters Joann Howard (Ken) of Western Hills, Terry Barnett of Cleves, and Carol Pollard (Bill) of Versailles; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his mother Ann Rogers, son John Robert Rogers, brother Kenny Rogers, and sister Ruth Haft.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be given in honor of John to the American Cancer Society.
