Jeffery “Jeff” Coy, 59, of Vevay passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at his residence surrounded with love and support by his family and friends. He fought a good fight until the very end. Jeff was born to Glen and Janice (Hopper) Coy in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on Sunday, December 10, 1961. He married the love of his life, Karen Kidd, on June 10, 2014. He loved spending time with his family and friends in the shop on the Coy farm. He enjoyed fishing, rebuilding Chevy square body trucks and spending time with his dog Princess Layla. One of his favorite songs was See You on the Other Side by Ozzy Osbourne.
Those surviving who will cherish Jeff’s memory included his wife Karen Coy and stepson Russell Washer both of Vevay; Mother Janice (Hopper) Clay of Vevay; son Dustin (Tasha) Coy and daughter Amelia (Coy) Barnett both of Oklahoma; brothers: David (Mary Archer) Fornash of Vevay, Brian Coy of Vevay, Denny Coy of Warsaw, KY, and Nelson Henry of Vevay; sister Roberta Brown of Oklahoma; brother-in-law Rick Kreiner of Oklahoma; Aunts Carol Webb of Vevay and Janet Hopper of Michigan; Uncle Loren (Cathy) Hopper of Vevay; nephew Loren Hopper Jr.; his grandchildren Kadince, Shaden, Layla, and Calvin; many cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. He will always be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father Glen Coy, grandparents Edwin and Helen Coy and Earl and Cleta (Coy) Hopper, sister Pam (Coy) Kreiner, cousins Jimmy Webb and Mike Webb, Uncles Russell, Wayne, and Paul Hooper.
