Rev. Ronald W. Sandidge

Rev. Ronald W. Sandidge, age 79, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the home of his daughter in West Lafayette, Indiana. Ron entered this life on October 29, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Woodrow Wilson Sandidge and Bretia Mae (Ennis) Stumbaugh. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Hubert and Lara Atwell in Hart County, Kentucky. He was a 1958 graduate of Hart Memorial High School. In 1962, Ron graduated from Campbellsville University, as well as, Wisconsin School of Banking in 1980. He spent seven years as a teacher before entering the banking field from which he retired in 2003 after 34 years. Ron was ordained into the ministry on his 20th birthday. He spent over 50 years pastoring churches in Kentucky and Indiana. Ron enjoyed working in the yard and garden, attending estate auctions, collecting glassware and working crossword puzzles. Ronald was united in marriage to Jean Milby on June 20, 1964 in Gabe, Kentucky. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary five days prior to his death.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Annette Sandidge- Deno and her husband, Tim of West Lafayette, IN. ; his son, David Sandidge and his wife, Olivia of Fishers, IN; his grandchildren, Abigail, Parker, and Alexis Deno and Mia and Mallory Sandidge; his sisters, Janeen Moberley of Cape Coral, FL, Portia Marksbury of Cox’s Creek, KY and Claudia Catherine Ayers of Parkersburg, WV; his brother, Eric Scott Stumbaugh and his wife, Donna of Oro Valley, AZ and his numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Edward Sandidge; his father and mother, Woodrow Wilson Sandidge and Bretia Mae (Ennis) Stumbaugh; his aunt, uncle and cousin, Hubert and Lara Atwell and Reggie Atwell with whom he was raised as a brother.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
