(Osgood, IN) – Jac-Cen-Del used suffocating pressure defense and a big night from freshman Tinley Enneking to cruise to a 68-33 victory over Milan in Friday’s girls consolation game at the 51st Ripley County Tournament at Jac-Cen-Del High School.
The Eagles jumped ahead early, turning Milan miscues into quick points and capitalizing on extra opportunities on the offensive glass. Jac-Cen-Del led 20-11 after one quarter and stretched that advantage to 40-17 by halftime.
Enneking set the tone from the opening tip, scoring a game-high 21 points. She was joined by junior Brynlie Simon, who scored 12 in the win. Payton Simon, Josie Allen, Lanie Narwold, Kaitlynn Shadday, Avah Schrepfer, and Brooklyn Simon also contributed as Jac-Cen-Del built and maintained control of the game.
The Lady Indians were paced by senior Tryniti Reed, who finished with 10 points. McKenna Eaglin and Caroline McMillan added six points each, while Miley Mitchell, Lillian Gilbert, Lily Potter, and Lexi Hagga provided additional scoring for Milan.
With the win, Jac-Cen-Del claims third place in the Ripley County Tournament and improves its season record; Milan drops to 3-11 on the year. Milan entered the tournament after a tough loss to South Ripley in the tournament opener.
