It is with great sadness that the family of Janie Alice Stutz, age 73 of Westerville, Ohio formerly of Greensburg, Indiana announce her passing on December 12, 2020. Janie lived with such sensitivity for others and will always be remembered for the love and affection she showed family, friends, and everyone she came to know. The strength and courage she displayed in her fight with depression while coping with her husband’s battle with Alzheimer’s, inspired all who knew her.
Born on March 27, 1947 to Arthur and Alice Renaud of South Berwick, Maine. She was a 1965 graduate of South Berwick High School and proud member of the drum and bugle corps. She went on to serve in the Women’s Army Corps stationed in Fort Dix and quickly became leader of her platoon. She had envisioned becoming a nurse, before having to return home to care for her mother. Janie continued to pursue what she loved, by working in hospital emergency rooms and private Doctor’s offices as a medical secretary for over 25 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Greensburg.
Janie is survived by her husband of 54 years John Stutz, two sons and their wives Corey and Holli Stutz, Jay and Katie Stutz (grandson Owen), her brother and wife Edward Renaud and Donna; sister-in-law and husband Marsha (Stutz) and Maury Lay, and her many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her Parents.
