Sunman, IN — Customers with Great Plains Communications (formerly ETC Corporation) experienced outages of both phone and internet services across the region on Wednesday afternoon for a few hours. Technicians did verify that there was a widespread outage in southeastern Indiana.
According to officials, there was a problem with a 3rd party vendor that caused a bad circuit, affecting the network across the board. The outage lasted a little less than 2 1/2 hours total.
