IN Attorney General Sues Local Used Car Dealer

(New Point, IN) – A local used car dealer is among six around the state being sued by Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita’s office for allegedly engaging in deceptive acts.

Redelman’s Deals on Wheels LLC in New Point lost its Indiana dealer license to sell vehicles in December 2023.

Court documents indicate Redelmen’s allegedly continued to sell cars without the required license.

Owner-operator Emilie Redelman is accused of advertising numerous vehicles for sale after the dealer license was revoked, including ads posted on Facebook Marketplace.

Redelman also allegedly did not give a refund on a deposit to a customer who bought a car from the dealership, and did not give a title to a separate customer who bought a pickup truck.

“Indiana consumers deserve to get what they pay for,” Rokita said. “We won’t hesitate to bring lawsuits against car dealers who lie or fail to honor their end of agreements with purchasers. Deceptive conduct hurts consumers, and it hurts the reputation of the vast majority of Indiana car dealers who conduct business the right way.”

The lawsuit against Redelman’s and the five other dealers seeks injunctive relief, consumer restitution, civil penalties and legal costs.

The other dealers being sued by the State are in Indianapolis, Greenfield and Peru.
