The pairings for the 2023 baseball state tournament were announced Sunday night by the IHSAA.
Here are the pairings involving area teams:
In Class 4A Sectional 14 at East Central, the host Trojans will face off against Columbus East.
In Class 3A Sectional 29 at Franklin County, the host Wildcats will take on Batesville and Greensburg goes up against Connersville.
In Class 2A Sectional 45 at Austin, Milan plays South Ripley.
And in Class 1A Sectional 60 at Jac-Cen-Del, the host Eagles will battle Southwestern (Shelby), North Decatur takes on Oldenburg Academy, and South Decatur meets Waldron.
The tourney begins Wednesday, May 24.
