The IHSAA on Sunday night announced the pairings for this year’s softball state tournament.
Here are the matchups involving area teams:
In Class 4A Sectional 14 at Columbus North, East Central takes on Shelbyville.
In Class 3A Sectional 29 at Connersville, Greensburg matches up with Rushville, and Franklin County will face South Dearborn, with Batesville awaiting the winner of the contest between the Wildcats and Knights.
In Class 2A Sectional 45 at Brownstown Central, South Ripley drew the bye and will face the winner between Milan and Southwestern (Hanover).
And in Class 1A Sectional 60 at North Decatur, the host Chargers go up against Oldenburg Academy, and Jac-Cen-Del meets South Decatur.
Tourney play gets underway on Monday, May 22.
