Iconic pop artist, ‘Indiana’ dies at 89

Vinalhaven, Me. — Pop artist Robert Indiana, known for his iconic “LOVE” sculpture died at his seaside Maine home over the weekend, he was 89.

A native of New Castle, Indiana, he was born Robert Clark in September of 1928. “Indiana” became frustrated with the New York City art scene and moved to Maine in 2009.
